Designing a brand new iRobot app for the 2025 Roomba lineup was an exciting challenge for our team. We had the opportunity to rethink the user experience, shifting from a robot-focused design to one that centers around the home — aligning more closely with how users actually approach cleaning.

Role: Principal Product Designer, iRobot

Team: Led and worked alongside a team of 2 designers on a cross-functional team of hardware and robotics engineers, internal and offshore developers, and product leaders

Tools: Figma, FigJam, Usertesting.com

Skills: Wireframing, Research, Rapid Iteration, UI & Visual Design, Design System-ing, Documentation, Feature Prioritization

Deliverables: Regular design updates for ELT, Fully vett and tested UX flows and high fidelity design files for each release of the Roomba Home App; New design system

Over 8 months, this project encompassed everything from building a new design system to designing, testing & iterating with development to launch a set of completely revamped features — all centered around creating a smoother, more intuitive experience for our users.

Stay tuned for detailed case studies about the key features I worked on, and a closer look at how our team pulled it all together.
